Under New Management

I am so excited to tell you that Tracey Duff from Duff Management has accepted to manage my bookings, music and more. She is a great manager who manages some very successful artists and has extensive experience in the music industry.

This will allow me more time to focus on the ministry in the priesthood and not worry about where and when I have to travel, how many CDs are in stock and so on.

Please know that I will be very happy to continue to be in touch through my website, FaceBook and Twitter!

Feel very free to contact Tracey on:

February ThatsWorship.com NewsLetter

Hey guys,

Hope you are all keeping well!! Here is a quick update of what I have been up to here in Australia:

Bishop Joe

By now many of you would have heard of the passing of Bishop Joe Grech. Bishop Joe was the one who organised my placement in Australia, he was my mentor, friend and 'family' here in Australia. It was a shock to have lost 'the Bish' but he did make his vision for the Church here in Sandhurst, and his passion for Jesus very clear. He will be sorely missed but he is held deep within the hearts of many, and his mission to cause "hearts to be enflamed with the love of Jesus" will continue through my life and ministry!

Parish

It's been three months since I was ordained a priest and what a journey it has already been. With the release of a new album (
Reach Out), the return to Australia, the appointment to St Brendans Parish in Shepparton (regional Victoria), the sudden death of our dear Bishop Joe, preparing for alight tour schedule, and eventual release of my first ever live album and DVD.

There is much going on and that can distract from my priority which is the parish I am assigned to. St Brendans is a large parish about two hours from Melbourne. There are a few Italians, Africans, true-blue Aussies (of course) and, yes, some Maltese!!

The parish priest and I look after the spiritual needs of the parish (and 2 other churches), 3 schools (aprox 2,500 students), 2 hospitals and a few age-care facilities. I am loving it here in Shepparton; the people, the green grass, beautiful lakes and am so excited about what God has in store!!

Chart-Topping Songs

There are three of my songs that have created somewhat of a stir in the charts lately.
  • The song God Does Not Make Rubbish which I wrote and recorded with the late Bishop Joe Grech made it to SECOND place on Australia's ITunes top Inspirational downloads. It stayed in the top ten for a week.
  • Letting Go (from the 'Reach Out' album) made it to number 35 on the same chart.
  • Stronger (feat. Vince Leguesse and also from my 'Reach Out' album) has now made it toMalta's top 10. As I write this letter it is currently number 9, but we hope it will climb up the charts over the next few weeks :)

On another musical note, I am also very excited that I have recently signed a distribution and publishing contract with Willow Connection. They will allow me to concentrate on my parish ministry and push my music to new grounds.

That's it for now...

Please visit www.ThatsWorship.com for more updates, music, videos, podcasts and more!

God bless you!!!!!!!

Bishop Joe Grech

It's been over a week now since the death of Bishop Joe. It has been a very rough week for me having lost bishop with whom I was so close. I am left with many questions and many uncertainties yet my heart is filled with hope and peace.

We don't always get the answers we seek and things often don't go the way we expect; people come and go, circumstances change, but through all this I am so glad to have an unchanging God by my side.

On another note, we hope to put some 'highlights' of Bishop Joe's funeral on www.YouTube.com/SandhurstDiocese soon after the Mass (possibly the next day).

God bless you!!!!

// Malta //

My seven weeks of touring Australia is over and I head home to Malta in less than 24 hours! I am excited and nervous at the same time as I have not been home and not seen some of my family for three years!

As I begin this trip and spend two months there recording, catching up with family and friends AND getting ordained to the priesthood I am hoping to document some of this trip through some short video documentaries. So please watch this space and my YouTube page.

Space

I am so honoured to be doing what I do! I love having been a seminarian, I love being a deacon, love that I am soon to be ordained a priest and just love ministering to God's beautiful people through word and music. What a privilege!!

I am currently in the middle of a music tour around Australia,
visiting churches, schools and concert halls with what I hope is a
message of hope, love and forgiveness! It is so humbling to meet people from around Australia who want so much to love and serve God but find that they often don't have the 'space' and opportunity to fulfil that desire.

This is what mission is all about: creating a space for people to know, love and serve God. We need to reach out, to be present and become discipl-ers of those who thirst for truth; the truth which Christ alone can give! "Lord here I am, send me!"

Retreat

I'm just back from 7 days of silence and prayer. It's amazing how God can work through silence and generous prayer. I feel refreshed, full of hope and confirmed in my vocation.
Some have asked how my days were spent...

The day would be spent as follows:
  • Wake up - Pray part of the Divine Office (Prayer of the Church)
  • Shower & Brekkie
  • Meeting with Spiritual Director
  • Prayer for 1 hour and 1 minute ;)
  • Long Walk
  • Another Prayer time for 1 hour and 1 minute
  • Siesta
  • Another Prayer time for 1 hour and 1 minute
  • Run, push-ups and sit-ups
  • Tea/Supper
  • Last Prayer session (yes, you guessed it... 1 hour and 1 minute)
  • Rosary and Sleep

I would spend the 1 hour and 1 minute worshipping God, praying for others and meditating on particular Scripture passages. After each prayer time I spend 5 minutes writing what God may have been saying during that time.

// Getting it Done //

With my new ‘Divine Mercy’ CD launched in Australia I can now focus on finishing of my Synthesis (thesis), prepare for my ordination & trip to Malta, & a preceding Short Australian Tour.

To get some work done I needed to get away for a few days, so I spent a few days away by the beach on the Great Ocean Road (Bliss!!)! It was a super productive & restful week and now I am back into my Melbourne lifestyle.

On another note, I watched an amazing TV Series which I could not recommend enough: Little Dorrit… if you get a chance to get & watch it please do!

Pre-Order New CD!

Divine Mercy Chaplet

This project has been in the making for well over a year. Having collaborated with the amazing Gary and Natasha Pinto, I am very excited to bring you the first in a Devotional Series.

For those of you who are not familiar with the ‘Chaplet’, this is a meditative prayer which is usually prayed using rosary beads, because there are five sets of ten short prayers to Jesus asking him to bless, protect and “have mercy on us and the whole world.”

It is a very powerful prayer that draws me close to the heart of God every time I pray it. The Pre-Order price is just $15 (approx. EUR 10). Read More & Listen >>>
