Busy Few Weeks!

I am spending this weekend helping out in the parish of Manikata Parish Church. I'm also preparing for some events such as an Unplugged Night at the Come & See weekend of Youth Fellowship (18th March) - that should be real fun!! Before that I am participating at an event at Bay Street (Look below for more info. . .or if you're feeling lazy click here).

I also have something at San Andrea School, to play for and speak to some kids, animate a mass for some scouts; a session with some girls from St. Joseph School (Zebbug), help with a few Adoration sessions, and most importantly, be faithful with my schedule and duties here at the seminary! Busy few weeks!!

Decisions, Decisions! Trip to America?

As part of our seminary formation, we have a year out! A year away from the seminary environment which begins as of July 2006. I am considering spending this year in the U.S.A., though where exactly I do not know! I have two major options - working as a youth leader in Reno NV, or in West Virginia. There is so much to consider. I'll keep you posted on my eventual decisions.

What you Reading?

Began reading this book today! Love it already. I got a sudden urge to begin reading, and Im going to ride on this wave and see how far it will take me. How many books do you think I will end up reading before the pressure of exams sets in, and I have to begin studying??!! Ok so the cover I uploaded is of an audiobook, but believe me, I'm actually reading the thing.

What a Conflict!!

So much for professional home recording. Like never before do I appreciate a good, cosy, professional studio. My soundcard conflicting with my computer. . . guitar sounding too 'twangy', too much noise. Let's not mention the mixing and mastering. Practice makes perfect I guess. And I'm determined!

Home Recording

Home recording. . .I'm going to spend the next few days experimenting with the idea of recording and mixing my own stuff. I have written a few new songs, and I'm going to see how they will turn out. Who knows. . .maybe they will be good enough to be presented for download ;)

The two songs I will be working on are for a Catholic Charismatic conference in Rome and the other I will be revealing at Bay Street (St Julians, Malta) on the 11th of March 2006. . .the activity begins at 6:30, though I'll be playing sometime after 9pm.

Anyway - I will be using my new Rode NT2 microphone to do the dirty home work!

Closer CD

This is my latest recording project. It's so funny. . . I began recording in '04 after writing a song for my late buddy Daniel (which is on the More of You CD). His parents were impressed by the song and arranged for me to record it.

This album is a loud cry of what lies deep within my heart. It was released in Malta in October 2005 and the UK launch began this February.

It was recorded at ICC studios in the UK, which proved to be an incredible experience!!

UK Recording Experience

In September 2005 I flew up to England (Eastbourne) to record the Closer project. This experience far surpassed my expectations. I had the opportunity to work with the best musicians in the UK Christian-music scene. Musicians such as Mark Prentice (who plays with the likes of Delirious?), Paul Evans (Tim Hughes & Matt Redman), Mark Edwards and Neil Costello. Leana Grech later joined me at ICC to help with the vocals.

The whole Album was recorded live (all the instruments at once), and the impressive thing was that these guys never played together. And something way more precious than that was the fact that they were all praying as they played!

The ICC studio experience also proved to be the beginning of something new. While I was there I also signed a publishing deal with Daybreak music and a distribution agreement for Closer with ICC Records.

The recording took 11 days after which the glass master was sent to Sony in Austria to be duplicated and printed.

More Of You

This was my first recording project, recorded under the competent hands of Howard Kieth (Ira Losco, Chiara, etc) at Farmhouse Studios, Malta. The More of You CD contains 3 songs. This album is currently out of print, though it is available for purchase-download on some US sites.

This single was released in Malta in April 2004.

Ohhh. . .That's Worship!!

Here is something many of you guys did not know! In 2001 I wrote and released a booklet called Ohhh. . .That's Worship! (thus the name of my website!) which sold almost 2,000 copies.

This booklet speaks about my understanding (in 2001 that is) of what worship is all about - that it is more than songs, but a lifestyle! I'll try get some copies to the local shops ;)
